President Shavkat Mirziyoyev of Uzbekistan is set to embark on an official visit to Türkiye on June 6 to take part in the third meeting of the Strategic Cooperation Council, to be held in Ankara, as it is informed by presidential press service.
The agenda of the summit emphasises the commitment to enhancing the comprehensive strategic partnership between Uzbekistan and Türkiye.
Key areas of focus during the summit include the expansion of practical cooperation across various sectors. Priority will be given to initiatives aimed at boosting trade volume, fostering collaboration in industries such as green energy, electrical engineering, textiles, pharmaceuticals, and agriculture. Furthermore, discussions will extend to potential cooperation projects under the public-private partnership program.
Cultural and humanitarian exchange will also feature prominently on the agenda, reflecting the shared commitment to fostering people-to-people connections between Uzbekistan and Türkiye. Additionally, the leaders will exchange views on pertinent international political issues, reaffirming their commitment to close collaboration on the global stage.
A vital outcome of the visit is expected to be the adoption of several bilateral agreements and documents, further solidifying the foundation of cooperation between the two countries.
Moreover, President Mirziyoyev and President Erdoğan will engage in the first-ever joint meeting with the heads of leading enterprises and companies from both nations.
