Uzbekistan Airports hosted discussions with representatives from CMA CGM Air Cargo, a French cargo airline, exploring potential collaboration opportunities on June 4.
Led by General Director Damien Mazaudier, the delegation met with stakeholders from Uzbekistan Airports, the Uzaviatsiya Agency, and the Uzaeronavigatsiya Center to discuss cargo flights from China to France via Uzbekistan.
The focus of the meeting was to designate Navoi International Airport as a transfer point for CMA CGM Air Cargo's operations.
It was proposed that the airline would conduct five weekly flights using Airbus A330 aircraft, utilizing Navoi Airport for technical stopovers, including refueling and crew changes.
The discussions highlighted Uzbekistan's strategic location as a conduit between Asia and Europe, offering logistical advantages for cargo transportation. The visit also provided an opportunity for the French delegation to assess the technical capabilities of Navoi Airport.
Established in 2021, CMA CGM Air Cargo specializes in cargo transportation services and operates from Paris. The negotiations highlights the potential benefits of collaboration in facilitating global trade and enhancing connectivity.
