President Shavkat Mirziyoyev convened a meeting with top executives from prominent Chinese companies during the third Tashkent Investment Forum at the Koksaroy residence on May 3, presidential press service reported.
Among the critical topics addressed was the construction of the Olympic town and the broadening of project portfolios across energy, industry, and infrastructure sectors. Wang Bo, Chairman of the "CAMCE" corporation, engaged in discussions concerning the company's extensive experience in Uzbekistan. CAMCE specializes in providing comprehensive solutions spanning financing, construction, and operation of large-scale projects, indicating a strong potential for further collaboration.
The potential for enhancing Uzbekistan's renewable energy sector was a focal point of discussions with Cao Zhigang of "Goldwind." As a global leader in wind energy technologies, Goldwind expressed interest in localizing wind power plant production and accelerating ongoing projects. Prospects for constructing wind power stations in the Bukhara region, hydro storage stations, and high-voltage lines across the country were among the areas explored with China Southern Power Grid.
Highlighting successful collaboration, President Mirziyoyev underscored the achievements of the "Holley Group" in manufacturing electric meters in Uzbekistan. The meeting culminated in an agreement to construct a technological park in the Tashkent region, with plans to attract leading Chinese companies to participate actively.
