The Afghanistan-Kazakhstan International Exhibition was hosted in Kabul, serving as a platform to advance economic collaboration between the two nations, on April 25, Daryo's correspondent in Afghanistan reports. The event, showcasing local products, welcomed participation from high-ranking officials such as the Taliban Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs, the Vice Prime Minister of Kazakhstan, and the Vice President of Turkmenistan, along with numerous local and foreign traders and manufacturers.
At the opening ceremony, Abdul Ghani Baradar, the Taliban's Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs, underlined the significance of such exhibitions in improving trade relations. He pointed out the investment opportunities now available in Afghanistan and invited both local and foreign businessmen and investors to capitalize on these options.
Nooruddin Azizi, Taliban's Minister of Industry and Commerce, discussed the government's independent and balanced economic-oriented foreign policy. He mentioned that such a policy facilitates the hosting of international exhibitions that are vital for reinforcing economic and political ties between Kabul and Astana. Azizi further mentioned the establishment of a conducive environment for trade, transit, and investment in various sectors such as industry, transport, energy, agriculture, and mining, which possess distinctive regional benefits.
During the event, Amir Khan Mutakki, Taliban's Minister of Foreign Affairs, indicated that Afghanistan now has political representation in 38 countries, showcasing the impact of the government's balanced and economically oriented foreign policy.
The exhibition featured 80 stands displaying a range of local products from Afghanistan and Kazakhstan, illustrating the cultural and commercial diversity of both countries. This event serves as a mechanism to enhance trade and strengthen bilateral ties through direct engagement and business exchanges.
