Kyrgyzstan's Finca Bank announced plans to limit transfers from Russian Sberbank and Tinkoff Bank. Starting May 5, the bank will suspend accepting transfers from the Sberbank Online mobile application. Additionally, transfers from the Tinkoff Bank application will be restricted from the middle of the month. Statements on the credit institution's website confirm these changes.
The restrictions on transfers from the Sberbank Online application will apply to all Finca Bank clients. However, transfers from the Tinkoff Mobile application will remain available exclusively to citizens of Kyrgyzstan. Foreign individuals will no longer have the option to transfer money through these platforms.
Finca Bank has not specified an exact date for when restrictions on transfers from the Tinkoff Mobile application will come into effect. Nevertheless, the bank has urged customers to explore alternative methods for transferring funds before the limitations are implemented.
On April 2, it was reported that Kyrgyzstan's payment system would cease servicing Mir cards due to the termination of relations with NSPKJSC. This decision was made to mitigate the risk of potential secondary sanctions.
