Uzbekistan and Bahrain to form business council of leading companies
President Shavkat Mirziyoyev of Uzbekistan convened with Bahrain's Foreign Affairs Minister, Abdullatif bin Rashid al-Zayani, during the second gathering of foreign ministers from Central Asian and Gulf Arab states in Tashkent on April 15. This meeting aimed to deepen bilateral relations and foster collaborative frameworks, presidential press service informed.
Minister al-Zayani conveyed greetings from King Hamad bin Isa Al-Khalifa to President Mirziyoyev, underlining mutual interest in strengthening ties between their nations. Both leaders emphasized the need for intensified political dialogue and the prompt establishment of consultation mechanisms to facilitate cooperation.
Discussions focused on exploring economic opportunities across sectors such as trade, economics, banking, finance, infrastructure, and energy modernization. Plans emerged for a joint intergovernmental committee and a business council involving leading companies from both countries to promote investment ventures.
Addressing global security concerns, both parties affirmed their commitment to combating modern threats and ensuring international peace and stability.
President Mirziyoyev extended birthday wishes to Minister al-Zayani, reflecting the cordiality of diplomatic relations between the two nations.
