The Eurasian Ice Hockey Tournament has begun in Ashgabat, which will be held from 15 to 20 April 2024 and will involve national teams from a number of CIS countries, as well as Iran, Oman, Bahrain and Turkey, local TV channel Altyn Asyr reports.
The competition will be held at the capital's winter sports complex, which has a capacity of 10,000 spectators.
The Turkmenistan Ice Hockey Federation joined the International Ice Hockey Federation in May 2015. There are currently around 200 athletes in the country who play this spectacular game professionally.
