The Uzbekistan State Assets Management Agency (UzSAMA) has introduced new regulations governing the placement of empty state-owned real estate, spanning an area of up to 2,000m², through electronic online auctions.
Key Provisions
The approved regulations, as outlined by UzSAMA, detail the following procedures:
Online Application Submission: Individuals are required to submit online applications via the "Davlat mulki" Information System for listing empty state real estate properties with areas up to 2,000m².
Property Inspection: Upon receiving online applications, personnel from the Center for the Effective Use of State Property conduct on-site visits to assess the specified properties.
Outcome Determination: Following the property assessment, a conclusion is drawn, either authorizing:
- Putting the property up for electronic online auctions for rent or privatization, or
- Rejecting the property's inclusion in electronic online auctions.
Notification Process: Lot numbers of empty properties designated for electronic online auctions for privatization or rental are communicated to individuals via SMS messages, corresponding to their submitted online applications.
These regulations signify a concerted effort by Uzbekistan authorities to streamline and digitize the process of privatizing and renting state-owned real estate. By leveraging online platforms and digital tools, the government aims to make these processes more accessible, transparent, and efficient for individuals seeking to participate in auctions for state properties.
