As part of the three-day visit to Vietnam led by the Minister of Foreign Affairs, the delegation participated in the Uzbekistan-Vietnam business forum held on March 19, the Chamber of Commerce reports. Following fruitful deliberations, several agreements aimed at bolstering bilateral cooperation were forged between business representatives from Uzbekistan and Vietnam, notably the trading house.
Enhancing Economic Collaboration
The forum facilitated bilateral meetings in a Business-to-Business (B2B) format, bringing together representatives from various sectors of the business community from both countries.
Attendees included officials from relevant ministries and agencies, industrial associations, commercial banks, and over 100 prominent Vietnamese and Uzbek companies. Discussions during the forum revolved around current issues concerning bilateral trade, economic cooperation, and investment opportunities. Furthermore, strategies to foster industrial collaboration were deliberated upon.
Strengthening Partnerships
Following fruitful deliberations, several agreements aimed at bolstering bilateral cooperation were forged between business representatives from Uzbekistan and Vietnam. Notably, a pivotal agreement was signed between the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan and its counterpart in Vietnam. The agreement focuses on establishing a joint trading house, the Uzbekistan-Vietnam Trading House, slated to operate in Ho Chi Minh City.
The signing of this agreement marks a significant milestone in the bilateral relationship between Uzbekistan and Vietnam, underscoring their commitment to deepening economic ties and fostering mutual prosperity. The establishment of the trading house is poised to facilitate smoother trade transactions, promote business exchanges, and create new avenues for collaboration between the two nations.
