In a stride towards shaping the future of education, 200 schools in Saudi Arabia are set to embrace educational technology developed by Kazakh startup CodiPlay, the Ministry of Digital Development, Innovations and Aerospace Industry of Kazakhstan reported.
The partnership, formalized during the LEAP 2024 technology forum in Riyadh, marks a strategic collaboration between CodiPlay and Artificially Intelligent Learning Assistant (AILA), supported by the National Technology Development Program (NDTP) and the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT) of Saudi Arabia.
Under the memorandum of strategic partnership, CodiPlay, backed by the Tumar Venture Fund, will introduce its innovative educational solutions to enhance IT literacy among students in Saudi Arabia. The initiative aligns with Saudi Arabia's Vision 2030, which emphasizes the importance of preparing the youth for the digital age and reducing dependence on the oil industry.
CodiPlay's comprehensive educational solution encompasses a mobile application enabling students to master programming skills in languages such as Scratch, C++, and Python through gamified experiences. Additionally, CodiKits allow for the creation of various IoT projects, while the web platform "CodiTeach" supports teachers in delivering effective IT education.
"Our partnership with AILA goes beyond mere technological innovation. It underscores our commitment to equipping young minds with the skills and knowledge essential for navigating an increasingly digital world," Zhanadil Taldybayev, founder and CEO of CodiPlay, expressed the importance of the collaboration.
Yousef Alsayed, CEO of AILA, highlighted the partnership's potential to revolutionize IT education in Saudi Arabia.
"Our goal is to nurture a new generation of IT enthusiasts who will contribute to technological progress. Together, we aim to develop an innovative model of IT education that can serve as a benchmark not only in the Middle East and North Africa but also globally," Yousef Alsayed noted.
The partnership signifies a broader initiative to foster collaboration between Kazakhstan and Saudi Arabia in the realm of technological innovation. Aslan Sultanov, Tumar Fund Manager and founder of Al-Farabi Innovation Hub emphasized the importance of such collaborations in opening new horizons for startups and promoting international cooperation in technology.
The introduction of CodiPlay's educational solutions into Saudi Arabia's educational landscape is expected to strengthen the country's innovative ecosystem and provide equal opportunities for all segments of the population, including women and girls in technology.
This strategic partnership between CodiPlay and AILA epitomizes the transformative power of technology in shaping the future of education, not only in Saudi Arabia but also globally. With Saudi Arabia's ambitious Vision 2030 at its helm, initiatives like these are crucial steps towards building a knowledge-based economy and fostering sustainable development.
