Cabinet Ministers of Kyrgyz Republic confirms 33 enterprises launch in Chüy region
Akylbek Zhaparov, Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers and Head of the Administration of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic, participated in a meeting of the board of the plenipotentiary representation of the President in the Chüy region. The gathering served as a platform to discuss strategic initiatives aimed at bolstering economic growth and fostering investor confidence in the region, Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic reported on February14.
Zhaparov underscored the significance of enhancing the region's export capabilities, emphasizing the need for proactive measures to promote locally manufactured products in international markets.
He highlighted ongoing efforts towards the construction of a state-of-the-art trade and logistics center by Wildberries in the Alamudun district, with a substantial investment of $100 mn slated for development on a 38-hectare land plot.
In addressing the imperative of investor facilitation, Zhaparov outlined a streamlined process aimed at expediting project implementation. He stressed the importance of prompt action following investor engagement, outlining specific timelines for project assessment, financing arrangements, and commencement of construction activities to ensure timely execution of investment ventures.
Furthermore, Zhaparov mentioned the government's commitment to enhancing irrigation infrastructure, with a significant annual allocation of funds towards the irrigation sector. He highlighted the anticipated impact of these investments, particularly in bolstering water capacity in critical reservoirs such as Spartak in the Moscow region. Zhaparov urged relevant authorities to intensify preparations for the upcoming irrigation season to mitigate water scarcity challenges and ensure sustainable agricultural production.
In addition to economic initiatives, Zhaparov provided insights into broader reform agendas, including efforts to combat the shadow economy and advance digitalization initiatives. The meeting concluded with a reaffirmation of the government's commitment to advancing economic prosperity and social well-being in the Chüy region.
During an official trip to Cardiff, UK in November, 2023 chairman Zhaparov, while extending a cordial invitation, reassured of the government's active involvement in offering extensive aid and backing to prospective investors. This action aligns with Kyrgyzstan's wider efforts to foster a welcoming atmosphere for investors, featuring simplified procedures and attractive benefits to encourage foreign businesses keen on enriching the country's growing industrial sector.
