The Eurasian Patent Office (EAPO), based in Moscow, Russia, is ready to expand cooperation with Turkmenistan.
At a meeting with Turkmenistan's Ambassador to Russia, Esen Aidogdiyev, EAPO President Grigory Ivliev expressed the hope that Turkmenistan will soon accede to the Protocol on the Protection of Industrial Designs of the Eurasian Patent Convention.
EAPO is ready to cooperate with Turkmenistan on a wide range of issues, including the expansion of dialogue between IT specialists of offices, the introduction of the possibility of filing application materials in 3D format, electronic office work and document management, and in the long term - the creation of a common expert information space.
The Turkmen side confirmed that the educational programmes implemented by EAPO are of great importance for Turkmenistan.
Ivliev presented the main advantages of the Eurasian patent system, the prospects and priorities of the Eurasian Patent Organisation (EAPO), plans for the implementation of joint projects, their innovators and offices.
