Russia's largest online retailer Wildberries is studying the possibility of entering the Turkmen market. The company's founder Tatyana Bakalchuk said in an interview with RIA Novosti.
"We understand that in order to continue to grow we need to expand the geography of our presence... We are now looking at CIS countries, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan."
Wildberries currently operates in Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Armenia and Uzbekistan and is trying to establish logistics in Azerbaijan.
The company has been in business for almost 20 years and sells everything from food to gadgets. It employs around 50,000 people. Wildberries was the first in the Russian market to introduce a try-on service, allowing customers to order several items at once and pick up and pay for only those that fit.
