Turkmenistan will donate 2,000 tonnes of liquefied natural gas to Kyrgyzstan as humanitarian aid, local television Alty Asyr reports.
The order, addressed to the state-owned company Turkmengaz, was signed by President Serdar Berdimuhamedov.
The document was signed on behalf of Turkmenistan's nation to provide humanitarian aid to the Kyrgyz people in connection with the current situation in the energy sector of the Kyrgyz Republic.
Daryo reported that there had been an accident at the thermal power station in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan, in which a boiler had exploded. There are casualties.
As a result, heating and hot water supplies in the capital have been disrupted.
Turkmenistan's FM said that Turkmenistan's foreign minister, Rashid Meredov, had telephoned his Kyrgyz counterpart, Jeenbek Kulubayev, the day before.
