More than $962.6mn has been raised by startups showcased in Unicorn.Events pitch competitions. Unicorn Pitches at Silkroad Innovation Hub have become monthly events, featuring pitches from both US-based startups and members of the Silkroad Innovation Hub.
These events offer a unique opportunity for startups from Central Eurasia to gain exposure to investors from day one, fostering networking and fundraising opportunities. Participation is free for all Silkroad Innovation Hub members, encompassing startups from Central Eurasia.
Silkroad Innovation Hub's Achievements
Silkroad Innovation Hub has achieved remarkable milestones, solidifying its role as a pivotal player in cultivating innovation and collaboration. The hub launched the first community space in Silicon Valley, located at 320 High Street, Palo Alto, California, USA, specifically designed for startups and founders from Central Eurasia. Attracting 40 founders from the Central Eurasian region to become residents, Silkroad Innovation Hub has emerged as a thriving ecosystem for entrepreneurial talent.
The hub's commitment to knowledge-sharing is evident through the successful hosting of more than 70 events, engaging over 3,000 participants in discussions and workshops. Forming strategic partnerships with key organizations in both Central Eurasia and Silicon Valley, including the Ministry of Digitalization of Kazakhstan, Astana Hub, IT PARK of Uzbekistan, and the World Bank, showcases the hub's extensive network and influence.
Collaborating with Astana Hub and Draper University, Silkroad Innovation Hub initiated a comprehensive 5-month immersion program in Silicon Valley for 27 startups, further emphasizing its dedication to nurturing emerging businesses. The hub's prestigious status as a platinum partner of TechCrunch Disrupt 2023, featuring 14 startups from Central Eurasia in the exhibition and Startup Battlefield, highlights its global impact.
Hosting distinguished Silicon Valley leaders, such as Arsen Tomsky of inDrive, Chris Cox of Meta, Elad Gil, John Hennessy (Alphabet Chairman and ex-Stanford President), and Mar Hershenson, further solidifies Silkroad Innovation Hub as a hub of influence. The hub's media presence has seen a significant surge, reaching over 3 mn views on various platforms in the United States and Central Eurasia, indicating widespread recognition and resonance in both regions.
