On January 19, Uzbekistan's Centrum Air and Qanot Sharq, prominent Uzbek airlines, gear up to introduce flights to various Chinese cities, Ministry of Transport reported. This development follows extensive negotiations between Uzbekistan's Ministry of Transport, the Civil Aviation Agency, and Uzaeronavigatsiya, along with representatives from China, aiming to enhance air connectivity between the two nations.
Centrum Air and Qanot Sharq, having successfully undergone the certification process in compliance with Chinese requirements, have obtained operational permits to conduct regular flights to various destinations in China.
Earlier Daryo reported that a delegation from a subsidiary of Uzbekistan Railways, accompanied by representatives from the Ministry of Transport, undertook a productive visit to Beijing last week. On January 14, the delegation engaged in discussions with Meng Liang, the chairman of the Chinese company Jiayou International. The primary focus of the discussions was the enhancement of multimodal transport along the China-Kyrgyzstan-Uzbekistan route. Additionally, the parties explored the potential integration of digital solutions for the management of warehouses and logistics centers. Concluding the successful meeting, UTY Kargo and Jiayou International formalized their commitment to collaboration by signing a memorandum of cooperation.
