The Techno Mind team, composed of eight students from Uzbekistan, secured the Silver Award in the Tech4Good global competition as part of the Huawei Seeds for the Future 2023 education program. Their project, Aquatibia, also won the “Audience Choice” in the People’s Choice Award voting.

Global participation and recognition
The finals of the global competition took place on January 11, 2024. The contest saw participation from 175 students across 15 countries, including Uzbekistan, Germany, Brazil, Singapore, Italy, Chile, UAE, Colombia, Algeria, and Namibia. Students from Tashkent University of Information Technologies, Inha University, Amity University, Kimyo International University in Tashkent, and "New Uzbekistan" University emerged as the project winners.
Huawei’s role in nurturing ICT talent
Chen Jiakai, Huawei’s director in Uzbekistan, emphasized the importance of supporting ICT talent for the further development of Uzbekistan’s digital economy. Huawei is conducting several programs and initiatives to develop digital talent, including Seeds for the Future, Tech4Good competition, and ICT academies.
Stages of Tech4Good 2023 competition
The Tech4Good 2023 competition for participants from Uzbekistan was held in several stages. The first selection took place during the annual educational program Seeds for the Future in September 2023 at the regional level in Doha, Qatar. Fifteen students from Uzbekistan participated in it. The second stage, an accelerator program, was held in Dubai, UAE, where students from Uzbekistan became Tech4Good regional champions. The Techno Mind team was invited to participate in the Seeds Tour and COP-28 events in Dubai, UAE, in December 2023, where they presented their project at the Talent & Green Summit.
As winners of the global stage, the students will travel to China this year to participate in the Startup Sprint and enhance their business skills.
