The Tashkent Police Department, as part of the ongoing operational and preventive measures to combat crime under the “Important 40 Days” operation, has detained six more individuals suspected of committing crimes in the capital.
High-profile detainees
Among the detainees is Ikhtiyor Kudratullayev, the 27-year-old son of Bakhtiyor Kudratullayev, who is popularly known as “Bakhti Tashkentskiy” or “Bakhti Yangiabadskiy”. Bakhtiyor, a 52-year-old man, was detained in early December. Both father and son are involved in criminal cases under Part 3 of Article 156 of the Criminal Code of Uzbekistan, which pertains to extortion committed on a particularly large scale, by a particularly dangerous recidivist, an organized group, or in its interests. This crime is punishable by imprisonment of 10 to 15 years.
In addition to the extortion charges, Bakhtiyor is also facing charges under Part 2 of Article 276, which involves the illegal manufacture, acquisition, storage, and other actions with narcotic drugs, their analogues, or psychotropic substances without the purpose of sale on a large scale.
First female detainee
The list of detainees also includes the first woman reported by the police department, Nargiza Rustamovna Zhumaniyazova, 40. She is charged under Part 2 of Article 165 of the Criminal Code, which pertains to extortion committed repeatedly or by a dangerous repeat offender, on a large scale, or by prior agreement by a group of persons. This crime is punishable by imprisonment from 5 to 10 years.
Other detainees
Other detainees include Begzod Bakhtiyorovich Zafarov, 29, Jahongir Dzhurayevich Badalov, 48, Sherali Ruziyevich Sulaimonkulov, 45, and Akmaljon Tursunboyev, 28. These individuals are suspected under various parts of Article 165 of the Criminal Code, with Jahongir Dzhurayevich Badalov also facing charges under Part 1 of Article 168, which pertains to fraud.

The police department reports that the investigation into the criminal case is ongoing.
