A delegation from the Ministry of Agriculture, Irrigation, and Livestock of the Taliban movement arrived in Uzbekistan on an official visit, Hasht-e Subh Daily reports. The Ministry announced that the aim of the visit is to strengthen cooperation with Uzbekistan.
The discussions during this visit encompassed a wide range of topics, including the enhancement of wheat and cotton seed productivity, advancements in rice cultivation, the promotion of drip irrigation techniques, the development of horticulture, and initiatives for improving personnel skills within Afghanistan's dried fruit industry. The agenda also included discussions on investments and various other sectors, with the expectation of signing contracts to solidify bilateral agreements.
Leading the delegation was Sadrazam Osmani, the deputy head of the Taliban's Ministry of Agriculture. The delegation comprised key figures, including Khan Mohammad Forutan, who serves as the head of the Afghan Chamber of Agriculture, and Akhtar Mohammad Ahmadi, holding the position of deputy head.
Other members of the delegation included Mohammad Kasim Yusufi, Siddiqullah Rahmani, Mukhtar Mohseni, Hamidulla Ahmadzai, Muhammad Vali Vaziri, and Muhammad Rafi Bavariy, each contributing their expertise in various capacities within the Ministry of Agriculture.
