In a thoughtful and comprehensive visit to the Sebzor neighborhood of Sariosiyo district in the Surxondaryo region, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev demonstrated a keen interest in both the economic well-being and health of the local population.
Sebzor, home to more than 7,600 residents, boasts a vibrant community with a focus on horticulture, animal husbandry, and vegetable cultivation. During the president's visit, particular attention was given to the "Barakatullo Davre Baraka" farm garden, spanning 6 hectares of apples and 1.3 hectares of dates. The president observed the cultivation of various crops, including white cabbage, onions, and garlic, emphasizing the need for a more scientific approach to agriculture.
The Surxondaryo climate allows for early harvests, but President Mirziyoyev noted the lack of a systematic scientific approach to the region's agriculture. He called for the establishment of in-vitro laboratories, the improvement of seed production, and the specialization of Surxondaryo’s agriculture for export.
Addressing social issues, the president ensured that necessary infrastructure improvements were made. Road repairs, transformer renewals, and additional ballast installations were carried out, enhancing the overall living conditions in the neighborhood. Furthermore, schools and preschools received attention to create conducive learning environments.
A significant development in Sebzor is the establishment of a small medical center. President Mirziyoyev personally inspected the conditions of the facility, where a doctor, a midwife, and two nurses are engaged in preventive examinations and patronage services. This medical center eliminates the need for approximately 2,000 residents to travel 27 kilometers to a hospital, providing easier access to healthcare services.
During discussions with medical professionals and officials, President Mirziyoyev underscored the importance of public health. He highlighted the government's efforts in building hospitals, providing essential drugs, and enhancing emergency medical care. The president also noted an increase in the monthly salaries of medical workers and stressed the significance of targeted treatment and health control.
“One of the issues that worries me the most is the health of our people. That is why we are spending a lot of money on building hospitals, providing social drugs, and emergency medical care. The monthly salaries of medical workers have also been increased. What is important now is targeted treatment and health control, dividing the population into disease risk groups,” Shavkat Mirziyoyev noted.
President Mirziyoyev advocated for a more personalized approach to healthcare, urging medical workers to pay special attention to the 30% of the population susceptible to illness in a given region. He emphasized the importance of proper nutrition, encouraging physical activity, and the establishment of phytobars in neighborhoods.
