A Push for a Strategic Partnership Uzbekistan and France have committed to intensifying intergovernmental engagements and driving long-term structural projects in various areas of common interest, with the goal of elevating their bilateral partnership to the status of a strategic partnership.

Strengthening Security Cooperation The two nations are committed to bolstering bilateral cooperation in addressing emerging threats and risks to international security. They will enhance relations between their respective security structures.

Cultural Collaboration Uzbekistan and France will further develop their partnership in heritage restoration, promoting collaboration between the Institut National du Patrimoine and the Art and Culture Development Foundation. Plans for a Franco-Uzbek Cultural Center in Tashkent are also in progress.

Educational Endeavors The leaders support the opening of an "Alliance Française" in Samarkand and aim to enhance cooperation for the teaching of the French language in Uzbekistan.

Trade and Investment Promotion Both nations emphasized the importance of fostering trade and investment, particularly in the fields of green energy, high technology, strategic minerals, water and urban utilities, transportation, infrastructure, and health.

Prioritizing Economic Sectors Uzbekistan and France will focus on priority projects aligned with the 2020-2030 economic roadmap, spanning various sectors including energy, geological exploration, water resources management, transport, tourism, agriculture, innovative technologies, and more.

Significant Portfolio with AFD Group Joint projects with the French Development Agency Group have reached 1.3 billion euros, addressing urban infrastructure, the "green" economy, energy, agriculture, and water management.

Peace and Security in Central Asia France supports Uzbekistan's endeavors for peace, security, sustainable development, and good neighborly relations in Central Asia.

Multilateral Cooperation Both nations are ready to coordinate their actions within the framework of multilateral cooperation, emphasizing the principles of international law.

Global Issues They underlined the importance of global food security, nuclear safety, and the prevention of further environmental disasters.

Climate Change Mitigation and Adaptation Uzbekistan and France expressed their interest in strengthening joint efforts on climate change mitigation and adaptation, including the full and effective implementation of the Paris Agreement.

Commitment to Afghanistan Both countries are committed to a safe, peaceful, and stable Afghanistan and continue to engage in high-level consultations on the matter.

Earlier Daryo reported that France aims to redefine its role in Central Asia, a region of strategic importance. In a landscape where Russia and China hold significant positions through multiple platforms and endeavors, France's involvement serves as a counterweight, ensuring a more balanced influence in Eurasia.
