Anwar-ul-Haq Kakar, the head of the provisional government of Pakistan, arrived in Tashkent on November 8 for the XVI Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO) summit. The Prime Minister of Uzbekistan, Abdulla Aripov, and other officials welcomed him at the Tashkent International Airport.
This visit underscores the deepening diplomatic and economic ties between the two nations. Trade between Uzbekistan and Pakistan has surged by 75% this year, accompanied by a 50% increase in cargo transportation. Notably, the partnership has also led to the establishment of 20 new joint ventures, reflecting a shared commitment to invest in various sectors.
Anwar-ul-Haq Kakar's participation in the ECO summit highlights Uzbekistan and Pakistan's determination to strengthen economic relations, enhance regional cooperation, and explore opportunities for mutual growth.
