The State Bank for Foreign Economic Affairs of Turkmenistan reports that its head, Rahimberdy Dzhepbarov, has signed an agreement with the Union of Arab and French Banks (UBAF) in Paris, France.
"The draft agreement provides for cooperation in such important areas as financing export-import operations, trade development, as well as the creation of mechanisms to attract investment to the economy of Turkmenistan."
The State Bank for Foreign Economic Affairs of Turkmenistan is the country's leading credit and financial institution for international settlements.
UBAF is a consortium bank founded in 1970 by the national banks of France and 25 Arab countries.
