A military delegation led by the Minister of Defense of Azerbaijan, General-Colonel Zakhir Hasanov, visited Uzbekistan to discuss bilateral military cooperation. On October 19, the delegation, accompanied by Uzbekistan's Minister of Defense, General-Lieutenant Bahodir Kurbonov, visited the "Bukhara" training ground. The official reception of the military delegation took place at the training ground.
During the official meeting, the Uzbek Minister of Defense emphasized the close and friendly relations between the two countries, highlighting that Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan are committed to further strengthening their cooperation in the field of defense.
The discussions covered various aspects of military, military-technical, military training, regional security issues, and other areas of mutual interest, fostering the development of bilateral cooperation.
As the meeting progressed, both defense ministers shared their perspectives on achievements in the field of defense and discussed plans for future collaboration. Proposals were put forward to enhance and expand their cooperation.
At the conclusion of the meeting, a military cooperation memorandum for the year 2024 was signed between the two nations.
