The famous Turkish scriptwriter, artist and producer Mehmet Bozdağ plans to shoot a number of film projects in Turkmenistan - about Oguz Khan, the ancestor of the Turkic nations, and Alp Arslan, Sultan of the Seljuk Empire (11th century) with its capital in Merv. He said this in an interview with the International Information Centre (IIC) of Turkmenistan.
Bozdağ is known for creating such popular Central Asian TV series as "I Am Jalaluddin", "Legend", "Founding: Osman" and "Resurrection: Ertugrul". He arrived in the country to take part in the Arkadagyň säheri International Film Festival, which is being held (14-15 October) in the new town of Arkadag, 30 km from the Turkmen capital.
Burak Özçivit, Turkish actor and model, star of the films "Black Love", "Founding: Osman" and "Magnificent Century", is also taking part in the cultural event.
