The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan has conveyed its sympathy to the families of those who lost their lives in the recent earthquake in Afghanistan.
In the statement, the ministry expressed deep sorrow upon learning of the earthquake's devastating impact on the western regions of Afghanistan.
"We express our sincere condolences to the victims' families, share the Afghan people's grief, and wish a speedy recovery to all those affected. Uzbekistan stands in solidarity with Afghanistan and its people in these difficult times," says the message.
The statement further emphasizes Uzbekistan's solidarity with Afghanistan during these challenging times.

As reported earlier, five quakes struck Afghanistan near the city of Herat, located 35 km (20 miles) northwest of the epicenter, including one measuring 6.3 magnitude, as reported by the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS). Mullah Janan Sayeeq, spokesperson for the Ministry of Disasters, conveyed that at least 2,060 people lost their lives, 9,240 sustained injuries, and 1,329 houses were either damaged or completely destroyed as a consequence.
