Ahmed Massoud, the leader of the National Resistance Front in Afghanistan, the primary group combatting the Taliban in the country, has expressed his willingness to collaborate with Israel in a regional peace initiative. In an exclusive interview with Maariv, Massoud emphasized his openness to receiving aid and support from Israel in their shared goal of combating terrorism and promoting progress.
"We need help from any party that wants to support us, including Israel. I think we should all act together for the advancement of humanity in the face of darkness, terrorism, and ignorance,"
Massoud stated.
Massoud, who assumed leadership after his father, has received education from elite universities and the renowned Sandhurst Royal Military Academy in England. He has been actively seeking support in Europe for the resistance forces he leads and has been promoting his book, 'Our Freedom'.
Importantly, Massoud made it clear that he does not aspire to be the president himself. Instead, he envisions the establishment of a democratic government in Afghanistan. This government would make decisions regarding official international relations, including the possibility of participating in regional development programs involving Israel.
Massoud underscored the importance of moving past historical conflicts and coexisting peacefully in today's interconnected world. He believes that conflicts, whether in Palestine, Israel, or other regions like Africa, Yemen, and Afghanistan, have repercussions that affect everyone negatively. In his view, dialogue and peaceful solutions are essential to resolving these issues and pursuing a path to peace.

Massoud emphasized.
