Turkmenistan's Ministry of Industry and Construction Production reports that a contract was signed this year with China's Xuzhou Construction Machinery Group for the purchase of loading equipment and spare parts.
The deal was made in accordance with a presidential decree. In August-September 2023, a consignment of ZL50GN special vehicles was delivered to the country, which significantly replenished the Ministry's vehicle fleet.
"All necessary measures are being taken to utilise the subordinate enterprises at full capacity for uninterrupted supply of high-quality construction materials to construction sites, other industries and the population".
The Ministry is also actively developing the production of non-metallic building materials, cement, expanded clay and construction glass.
Turkmenistan is currently building some 200 facilities worth more than $10bn. Most of the projects are of industrial importance.
