The President of Mongolia, Ukhnaagiin Khürelsükh, has invited his Turkmen counterpart, Serdar Berdimuhamedov, to pay an official visit to Ulaanbaatar. The letter, sent on the occasion of Turkmenistan's Independence Day, was published in the local press.
"Please accept my invitation to visit Mongolia at your convenience to promote and develop bilateral relations between the two countries to open a new historical page of joint co-operation."
Khürelsükh and Berdimuhamedov met last year on the sidelines of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation summit in Samarkand, Uzbekistan, and this year at the enthronement of King Charles III of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland.
The foreign ministries of the two countries have previously held consultations to discuss export-import operations, particularly in energy resources and agricultural products.
