The latest joint meeting between government delegations from Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan took place in Batken City, focusing on the crucial task of delimitation and demarcation of the Tajik-Kyrgyz state border. As per the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan, the Tajik delegation was led by Saimumin Yatimov, Chairman of the State Committee for National Security, while the Kyrgyz delegation was headed by Kamchybek Tashiev, head of the State Committee for National Security of the Kyrgyz Republic.

During the meeting, both delegations engaged in constructive dialogue, exchanging views on the complex issue of border delimitation. Notably, the heads of the security services from both countries expressed a shared understanding of the necessity to accelerate the description of the Tajik-Kyrgyz state border in the remaining sections. This consensus led to the issuance of appropriate instructions to their respective working groups.

"Topographic working groups and working groups on legal issues of the government delegations of the Republic of Tajikistan and the Kyrgyz Republic on the delimitation and demarcation of the Tajik-Kyrgyz state border will continue to work on describing the project line of the Tajik-Kyrgyz state border in the remaining sections," a statement from the Foreign Ministry of Tajikistan read.

The continuation of active collaboration between these regions and other areas of the two states was a focal point of the discussions. As a result, a protocol was signed, affirming the commitment of both nations to the peaceful resolution of border issues and the fostering of friendly relations.

The ongoing negotiations between Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan highlight the importance of diplomatic dialogue in resolving border disputes and promoting regional stability in Central Asia. Both countries are committed to finding peaceful solutions and ensuring the security and prosperity of their shared border regions.
