In a letter to his Turkmen counterpart, Serdar Berdimuhamedov, Turkish President Recep Erdogan said he was looking forward to his visit and expressed confidence in deepening cooperation in the bilateral format and within the framework of prestigious international organisations, in particular the Organisation of Turkic States (OTS).
"I would like to note with satisfaction that friendly relations based on the common historical and cultural roots of the brotherly peoples of Türkiye and Turkmenistan are constantly being strengthened for the benefit of our peoples. I will be very happy to see you during your planned visit to the Republic of Türkiye."
Experts told Daryo that the agenda includes trade, transport, logistics and energy issues.
They said: "After the trilateral summit in Avaza in December, the leaders of Azerbaijan, Türkiye and Turkmenistan instructed a joint working group to develop a plan to bring Turkmen gas to Europe, including through the Caspian Sea".
