Representatives of the foreign offices of Turkmenistan and Singapore have noted "the need to organise mutual visits at the highest level" during interdepartmental consultations.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan reports that during the videoconference the diplomats discussed the prospects of bilateral relations in the political, trade, economic and cultural spheres. The two sides also discussed the possibility of holding joint business forums.
Experts told Daryo that companies registered in Singapore are actively involved in the modernisation of Turkmenistan's oil and gas and textile complexes.
GP Global Equipment Pte Ltd has implemented a project to build a gas compressor station in the Central Karakum. Yug-Neftegaz is carrying out oil operations in the North Goturdepe field in the west of the country.
Turkmenistan's Ministry of Textile Industry had previously signed a memorandum of understanding with Indorama Corporation Pte Ltd.
