Uzbekistan's government has made changes to regulations on entrepreneurship, including allowing direct appeals to the court against tax authority decisions and eliminating certain requirements for businesses such as notifying creditors of a reduction in authorized funds.
The initial amendment consists of the elimination of the requirement to exclusively sell newly imported automobiles through official manufacturing enterprise dealers.
The subsequent amendment pertains to legal entities, as their electricity supply will no longer be discontinued in the event of exceeding their contracted volume.
Another alteration involves entrepreneurs no longer being obligated to notify creditors or the public via mass media when reducing their authorized capital.
Besides, taxpayers have been granted the prerogative to contest tax authority decisions arising from on-site audits directly.
The abovementioned changes came into effect on August 14.
