The production of air conditioners and televisions in Uzbekistan has shown significant growth in the first half of the year, media reports.
Large enterprises in the country produced 280,400 units of air conditioners in the January-June period alone, a 1.6 times increase from the previous year.
The production of air conditioners reached 155,300 units in June.
The production of televisions during the same period also increased by 14.6%, with 281,300 units produced and 43,300 units produced in June.
The manufacturing industry accounted for 3.2% of the country's production, and the physical production volume index reached 150.4%.
Uzbekistan is home to 69,600 industrial enterprises, with Tashkent having the highest number of operating enterprises at 16.4% of the total number, followed by Ferghana, Tashkent, Samarkand, and Andijan regions.
