The much-awaited enrollment for Kazakhstan’s Presidential Youth Personnel Reserve is set to begin on September 1, marking a significant opportunity for the nation’s talented youth. The announcement was made during an August 11 meeting presided over by Olzhas Bektenov, the Head of the Presidential Administration.
Prospective candidates will undergo a rigorous selection process that evaluates their abilities to handle textual and numerical information, tackle situational tasks, and exhibit their skills during interviews. Those who successfully make it through this demanding process will be granted a three-year inclusion in the reserve. They will also gain the privilege of being appointed to responsible positions within the civil service and the quasi-public sector, without the need for competitive selection.
During the meeting, Darkhan Zhazykbayev, the Chairman of the Agency for Civil Service Affairs, provided an update on the agency's readiness for the impending selection process.
Detailed instructions regarding the selection procedure and its timeline will be made available on the agency’s official website. This transparency aims to ensure that interested candidates have clear guidelines and access to relevant information.
The Presidential Youth Personnel Reserve initiative was introduced by president Kassym-Jomart Tokayev with the intention of creating an equitable and efficient social platform for nurturing talented youth. This endeavor, which takes place biennially, has previously been conducted in 2019 and 2021, resulting in the employment of 264 reservists within various governmental agencies and the quasi-public sector. Among these, 31 individuals have secured political positions, while an additional six hold prominent roles within Corps A, which encompasses high-level administrative public offices.
As Kazakhstan looks to the future, the upcoming enrollment for the Presidential Youth Personnel Reserve promises to not only provide an unparalleled opportunity for the nation’s youth but also to fortify the ranks of its civil service and quasi-public sector with the brightest and most capable minds.
