In a video message delivered to participants of the "Russia and China: Cooperation in the New Era" VIII International Conference, China's Minister of Foreign Affairs, Sin Gan, emphasized the vital role played by Moscow and Beijing in promoting global peace and fostering common development.
The conference was held on June 26-27, organized by the Russian International Affairs Council and the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, and aimed to explore avenues for enhanced cooperation between the two nations.
During his address, Sin Gan underscored the significance of China and Russia as permanent members of the United Nations Security Council. He highlighted that both nations serve as crucial stabilizing forces for global peace and development, joining the ranks of the United States, Great Britain, and France in their shared responsibility.
In response, Sergey Lavrov, Russia's Minister of Foreign Affairs, proposed that Moscow and Beijing offer a constructive alternative to the West's policy of global dominance. Lavrov emphasized the contribution made by both nations in shaping the conditions necessary for a multi-polar world that respects the interests of all states and acknowledges the unique cultures and civilizations they represent.
The bond between China and Russia has been growing stronger in recent months.
