Uzbekistan and Latvia intend to establish joint training courses for employees in Uzbekistan. This was announced at the meeting between the representatives of Uzbekistan's Foreign Labour Migration Agency under the Ministry of Employment and Poverty Reduction and the Federation of Slovak Industrial and Transport Associations held a videoconference with the support of their respective embassies, Dunyo reports.
At the start of the meeting, the Uzbek side shared information about their country's policy on foreign labor migration and the benefits it provides for citizens. They also discussed the activities of the Agency and mono-centers' Ishga marhamat', as well as their international cooperation with foreign countries and preparation system for Uzbek citizens.
At the meeting, the Slovakian representatives emphasized the rising demand for more personnel due to the establishment of new production facilities and the increase in exports. As a result, both sides agreed to collaborate on joint training programs to equip Uzbekistani workers with the necessary skills.
The Federation of Industrial and Transport Associations of Slovakia (APZD) comprises 13 associations in various industries and includes approximately 1,800 Slovak companies in logistics and processing.
