The Uzbekistan Senate will discuss several laws and documents, including those related to anti-corruption expertise of legislative acts and their projects, the ratification of the Uzbekistan-Kazakhstan border demarcation treaty, and an agreement on military-technical cooperation with Pakistan, press service of the Senate of Uzbekistan reports.
The Upper House of Parliament, known as the Oliy Majlis Senate, convened its 42nd plenary session on June 22.
Senators will review laws on the anti-corruption expertise of legislative acts and their projects, as well as amendments to laws concerning state fees, radio frequency spectrum, and the Administrative Liability Code, specifically focusing on improving the determination of administrative fines for non-compliance with enforcement documents.
Additionally, the session will cover the discussion of laws on the ratification of the Uzbekistan-Kazakhstan border demarcation treaty (signed in Tashkent on December 22, 2022) and the agreement between the governments of Uzbekistan and Pakistan on cooperation in the military-technical field (signed in Islamabad on March 3, 2022).
Furthermore, the Senate plans to examine the results of a parliamentary inquiry sent to the Cultural Heritage Agency regarding measures for preserving museum objects and collections and ensuring their safety.
