Uzbekistan's Central Electoral Commission (CEC) has recently held a meeting to discuss the logistics of early voting in the upcoming presidential elections in Uzbekistan, Dunyo reports.
It has been decided that citizens who are unable to vote on the official election day will be given the opportunity to cast their votes during an early voting period from June 28 to July 5, 2023.
The commission has set the early voting hours at polling stations from 9:00 to 18:00 on weekdays and from 11:00 to 17:00 on weekends and holidays. It is worth noting that Uzbekistan has established 56 polling stations in foreign diplomatic and other representations.
The primary election day is scheduled for July 9, and the CEC encourages all eligible voters to exercise their right to vote.
A total of 56 polling stations have been established in diplomatic and other representations of Uzbekistan in foreign countries.
