At least 17 people, including five children, have died as a result of an airstrike in the capital of Sudan, according to the Sudanese Ministry of Health, Euronews reports.
The strike targeted the Yarmouk district in southern Khartoum, where a military facility controlled by the army is located. It remains unclear whether the attack was carried out by an aircraft or the use of a drone.
Clashes between the country's army and the armed group known as the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) continue in the country.
As a result, with the mediation of American and Saudi peacekeepers, a 72-hour ceasefire was implemented.
The fighting between the country's armed forces and the armed group, known as the Rapid Support Forces, has been ongoing since April, stemming from disagreements over the integration of this group into the Sudanese army.
