King Abdullah II ibn al-Hussein of Jordan will pay a state visit to Uzbekistan on August 25–26 at the invitation of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, the presidential press service reported.

The main events of the visit will take place in the historic city of Samarkand, where the two leaders will hold summit talks.
According to the agenda, discussions will focus on strengthening political dialogue and expanding trade, economic, and investment cooperation. Particular attention will be given to opportunities in the chemistry, pharmaceuticals, agriculture, textiles, and mining sectors, as well as in other promising areas.
The program also includes the development of cultural and humanitarian exchanges between the two countries.
In addition, the presidents are expected to exchange views on pressing issues of international and regional politics. Following the talks, a package of bilateral agreements is planned to be signed.
