On the eve of US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken's visit to Beijing, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Hua Chunying commented on a Bloomberg article, urging us to listen to what the head of the American foreign policy department has to say in the face of Chinese military actions, on Twitter page. Hua Chunyin acknowledged that a military clash between the two countries was possible, saying that Washington's actions may lead to this.
Publication reports that some maneuvers by Chinese aircraft and ships could scare the US military away from their beaches, but the PRC would not appreciate the implications of such acts.
"This article is blackmail for many Chinese readers. The author and editor may require history and geography lessons," remarked a Chinese foreign ministry representative.
She reminded that it is not China that sends its soldiers to the coastlines of the United States, but vice versa, underlining that if the two countries engage in a military clash, provocative American acts will be to blame.
It had been previously stated that US President Joe Biden wishes to meet with Chinese President Xi Jinping and anticipates doing so in the coming months. He stated his aim to address and resolve existing disputes between the states with the President of the People's Republic of China.
