Uzbekistan's Club has officially been registered as a non-governmental organisation (NGO). The Ministry of Justice has registered the non-governmental non-profit organisation Uzbekistan's Club, the press service of the Ministry of Justice reports.
The NGO was previously known as the "Center for the Promotion of Cinematography" and was renewed its registration to reflect the name change and expanded purposes.
The main goals of the Uzbekistan Club are to work with nationals who have achieved international success, to create and promote media products about them, to develop cooperation among citizens of Uzbekistan living abroad, and to increase the potential of the diaspora and its contribution to Uzbekistan's development.
"We will continue to develop the Uzbekistan's Club media platform for Uzbeks, ensuring their continuous interaction, as well as giving young compatriots the opportunity to find a springboard to achieve their goals," the NGO said in a statement.
The online portal Uzbekistan's Club went live in early April. The club team is now filming a series of films titled "O'zbekistonlik" featuring these successful nationals.
