According to CNN, Valery Borovik, the commander of Ukraine's attack drone division, revealed plans for expanding production within his company, Kommersant reports.
To facilitate this expansion, a contract was signed with a defense plant in Ukraine. It is projected that the company's monthly drone production will increase from 50 to over 1,000 units.
Valery Borovik's company is the developer of the "Vidsyich" combat drone, which boasts a range of 40km and has the capacity to carry 2-3kg bombs.
"We primarily target expensive Russian weaponry in our attacks," stated Mr. Borovik.
In May, the Ukrainian government announced the establishment of eight drone strike companies. As of January, the Ukrainian military signed a contract worth $90mn for 1,600 drones. Furthermore, as part of the "Drone Army" project initiated in the summer of 2022, 10,000 drone operators have been trained in Ukraine.
