The Parliament of Kyrgyzstan is drafting a bill on the need for girls over 18 to report the purpose of their trip abroad and the country of residence, press service of the Jogorku Kenesh of the Kyrgyz Republic reports.
The project was developed by Deputy Shailoobek Atazov. According to him, the population as a whole reacted negatively to his initiative, noting that: "Immediately after the publication of this idea, the girls held rallies and announced the infringement of their rights."
“Do what you want, but tell us in which state you work. Even in EU countries, young people under the age of 23 are restricted from leaving. We are told that they are working in Moscow, while they themselves are in Bishkek,” he commented.
According to the parliamentarian, there are enough jobs in the Kyrgyz Republic, and sewing shops, construction companies, and hotels are opening.
As a suggestion, he advised teaching girls the language, rights, and laws of the host country.
