China and Uzbekistan have announced their dedication to promoting global biosafety measures, media reports.
According to an official joint statement released after talks between Chinese President Xi Jinping and Uzbek President Shavkat Mirzieyev, the two nations are committed to working together to advance biosafety and human well-being in the Central Asian region. This will be achieved through cooperation and exchange of research results among their respective biological research institutes.
Additionally, China and Uzbekistan have agreed to strengthen coordination in cyberspace management and contribute to a more equitable and rational global Internet governance system. Both countries have expressed their support for a peaceful, stable, and prosperous Afghanistan, emphasizing the importance of its sovereignty, territorial integrity, national unity, and non-interference in its internal affairs. They also reaffirmed their willingness to work with the international community to provide continued humanitarian and practical assistance to support Afghanistan's development and integration into regional economic cooperation.
