The Afghan branch of the banned extremist organization Hizb ut-Tahrir is urging the Taliban to establish a caliphate in collaboration with Pakistan and Central Asia, Sputnik Afghanistan reports.
The organization's statement comes in response to a Pentagon report addressing the US intelligence crisis in Afghanistan, suggesting an increase in ground agents and enhanced air surveillance to address the situation.
The terrorists' conclusion is that the US aims to strengthen its presence in Afghan airspace by seeking permission to fly drones from Pakistan and Central Asian countries. This is perceived as an opportunity for the US to eliminate terrorists, similar to the operation against al-Qaeda leader Ayman al-Zawahiri.
The extremist organization labels the governments of these countries as traitors to Muslims and a threat to the Taliban regime. They propose countering this threat by capturing the governments and establishing a unified caliphate.
