The "Taliban" information and culture department in Ghazni province has warned all media outlets not to air commercials featuring female voices, Hasht-e Subh Daily reports.
The "Taliban" are warning local media that they will face harsh action if they disobey the order.
Calling women during transmission is also banned in the province of Ghazni. Women working in the regional media are reportedly at home after the ban.
Prior to this, Afghan women were forbidden to work in UN offices, men to sew clothes for women, women to go to male doctors, attend wedding halls, receive university and school education, and go to the hospital and amusement parks alone. Women were also banned from going to restaurants with gardens in the country.
