On Wednesday, Afghan mountaineer Samuel Sidiqi made history by becoming the first Afghan to reach the peak of Mount Everest. He announced his successful ascent and safe descent to Base Camp in an interview with Ariana News.
Sidiqi embarked on the Everest trek to promote recognition and support for the growth of skiing and mountain climbing via his charitable trust, Afghan Peaks. His achievement represents personal dedication and perseverance, with the goal of inspiring Afghan youngsters to push through barriers to achieve success.
The Afghan Peaks Charitable Trust, founded by Sidiqi, has been continuously committed to reaffirming Afghanistan's mountains in terms of sports, safety, and natural preservation. Their mission is demonstrated by their annual ski race in Bamiyan.
