May 15. Shavkat Mirziyoyev chaired an online meeting “On poverty and unemployment reduction” stating that the only solution was to create favorable conditions for business owners.
"From our side, we will provide employment and train qualified specialists," Shavkat Mirziyoyev emphasized.
The program “20 ming tadbirkor — 500 ming malakali mutaxassis” (20 thousand entrepreneurs - 500 thousand qualified specialists) will start offering long-period low-interest loans. The business owners may borrow the lucrative credits if they train a member of a poor family and provide a job. The training expenses will be fully covered from a 1 bn dollar fund which will be put into full force from June 1.
They will be exempt from annual property and land taxes if they manage to employ at least 20 percent of poor family members. The social tax rate will be reduced by 2 times who pay up to UZS5 mn A poor family member is also exempted from income tax.
Entrepreneurs included in the program will be given additional relief in providing infrastructure, land, and buildings by accepting installments during the privatization of land.
